Daylight Studio Facilitator
Daylight Studio is offering the opportunity to a young Islington resident to train with them to become a Music session facilitator to the disabled community of Islington and beyond.
The successful applicant will go through a 9 month program consisting of one to one training, shadowing and direct experience creating music with the disabled community.
The aim of this is for Daylight Studio to skill the successful applicant in our ‘Way of Working’ and incorporate their music making style into the sessions. On meeting our expectations in the program Daylight Studio will establish the New Facilitator with a client base to continue their practice as well as support them to grow that client base. This would be a minimum expected weekly commitment of 5 x 1 hour music sessions.
What to expect
At the end of this program Daylight Studio expects to have a passionate and expert facilitator to add to our team. We will set you up with 5 weekly clients (£700pm). We expect you to be able to expand your own client base and hope you can expand our reach and look forward to working together to achieve this.

Training & Development process (9 months)
Stage 1 (3 Months)
Direct Training and Shadowing with Jack (Current Facilitator) and existing Daylight Studio Artists. In this period we will be introducing you to our ‘Way of Working’ and figuring out together how we can bring your approach to music-making into our sessions.
Stage 2 (3 Months)
Following the direct training you will undertake 3 months of subsidised sessions. In this period you will work independently with your own Artists. These sessions are fully subsidised so you will have room to grow your approach to the sessions in a low pressure environment.
Stage 3 (3 Months)
The final stage of the training will be 3 months of partially subsidised sessions. This is to help prepare your Artists to take on full payment after the program. By this point we expect you to be able to deliver music sessions to Daylight Studio’s standard. During this period we will also support you with techniques to expand your client base and advertise your services via Daylight Studio’s channels.
